Bills Claim CB Lafayette Pitts Off Waivers, Cut CB Tony McRae

The Buffalo Bills announced Wednesday that they’ve claimed CB Lafayette Pitts off of waivers from the Jaguars and waived CB Tony McRae.

Pitts, 25, originally signed on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh back in May of last year. He was on and off of the Dolphins’ active roster last season but returned to Miami on a one-year, exclusive rights contract this past April.

The Dolphins waived him coming out of the preseason and Pitts was later claimed off of waivers by the Jaguars. Jacksonville elected to move on from Pitts yesterday.

In 2017, Pitts has appeared in six games and recorded one tackle.
