Bills Claim DE Scott Crichton Off Waivers From Vikings

The Buffalo Bills officially claimed DE Scott Crichton off of waivers from the Vikings on Monday.

Minnesota elected to part ways with Crichton last week, but it appears he’ll get an opportunity to make the Bills’ roster this summer.

Crichton, 25, was taken in the third round of the 2014 NFL draft by the Vikings. He’s in the final year of his four-year, $3,020,500 rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $769,000 for the 2017 season.

The Vikings waived him with an injury designation coming out of the preseason last year and he spent the entire season on injured reserve after he cleared waivers.

In 2015, Crichton appeared in 13 games for the Vikings and recorded eight tackles.
