Bills Claim DT Jordan Phillips Off Waivers From Dolphins, Release DT Robert Thomas

The Bills have claimed DT Jordan Phillips off of waivers from the Dolphins on Wednesday and released DT Robert Thomas.

Phillips, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2015. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $4,362,908 contract and set to make a base salary of $1,029,942 for the 2018 season.

The Dolphins elected to waive Phillips on Tuesday after he had seen a reduced role in recent weeks and clearly wasn’t happy about it.

In 2018, Phillips appeared in four games for the Dolphins and recorded five tackles, one sack and a pass defense.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
