Bills Claim OL Patrick Lewis Off Waivers From Seahawks

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Bills have claimed OL Patrick Lewis off waivers from the Seahawks on Wednesday.

A report from earlier in the week mentioned that the Seahawks were fielding trade offers for Lewis. However, no deal surfaced and the Seahawks elected to cut him loose ahead of the 75-man roster cut deadline.

Lewis, 25, originally signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M back in 2013. He lasted just a few months in Green Bay before catching on with the Browns, Jaguars, and Seahawks.

The Seahawks re-signed Lewis to a one-year, $1.671 million contract back in April.

In 2015, Lewis appeared in nine games for the Seahawks and played a total of 741 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.
