Bills Claim TE MarQueis Gray Off Waivers From Vikings, Waive RB Phillip Tanner

Chris Brown of BuffaloBills.com is reporting that the Bills have claimed TE MarQueis Gray off of waivers from the Minnesota Vikings and waived RB Phillip Tanner to make room for him.

The Vikings decision to waive Gray came after they were awarded RB Ben Tate off of waivers from the Browns on Wednesday.

Gray, 25, signed on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Minnesota last year. However, he was unable to make the team’s final 53-man roster and was cut loose before the start of the 2013 season.

The Cleveland Browns later claimed off waivers only to release him back in August.

This season, Gray has appeared in eight games and caught just one pass for 16 yards. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing just 38 snaps this season.
