Bills Confirm WR Kelvin Benjamin Has Torn Meniscus, Considered Day To Day

The Buffalo Bills confirmed a recent report on Monday that WR Kelvin Benjamin has a torn meniscus, per Mike Rodak.

This comes after Bills HC Sean McDermott told reporters that Benjamin was not dealing with a meniscus tear, so it appears as though McDermott was confused by the question.

McDermott did, however, say that Benjamin is day-to-day with this issue.

Benjamin, 26, is a former first-round pick of the Panthers back in 2014. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $7.66 million contract that includes $6.19 million guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $1 million to go along with a $465,125 roster bonus for the 2017 season.

The Panthers picked up Benjamin’s fifth-year option this past May worth around $8,459,000 before trading him to the Bills for 2018 third- and seventh-round picks at the deadline.

In 2017, Benjamin has appeared in 10 games and caught 36 passes for 537 yards receiving and two touchdowns for the Panthers and Bills.
