Bills DT Kyle Williams Expected To Miss 3-4 Weeks With PCL Injury

Sal Capaccio of the 550 WGR reports that the initial diagnosis for Bills DT Kyle Williams is that has a PCL injury that is not expected to require surgery.

  • According to Capaccio, this is typically 3-4 week injury, but Williams has more tests scheduled.

This is obviously very encouraging news for the Bills and Williams, as it could have been much worse than this. Williams wound up being carted off the field during their loss to the Bengals on Sunday.

Williams, 32, signed a three-year, $22.95 million contract with the Bills back in March. He stands to make base salaries of $4.8 million (2015), $7 million (2016), and $10.5 million (2017) over the remainder of the contract.

Entering today’s game, Williams had recorded 13 tackles and a sack for the Bills’ defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 21 defensive tackle out of 68 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding Williams and his timetable as the news is available.
