Fred Jackson Expects To Miss No More Than 4 Weeks

Fred Jackson mentioned that he expects to be back from his knee injury in four weeks.

Hopefully sooner, but I’ll definitely be back in four weeks,” said Jackson, via Chris Brown of BuffaloBills.com. “Without a doubt.

Jackson added that he didn’t suffer a tear in his knee this time, which should give him a decent enough of shot at being available in the next few weeks.

Buffalo Bills head coach Chan Gailey confirmed that RB Fred Jackson is expected to be out for 3-8 weeks, following a recent knee injury.

“It’s going to be a few weeks,” said Gailey, via BuffaloBills.com. “It’s not going to be three, but I don’t think it’s going to be eight, but it’s probably somewhere in there in between. Hopefully sooner than later.”

A recent MRI was not able to pinpoint the extent of Jackson’s injury, which is why Gailey gave a pretty wide range regarding how long he could be out. The team is hopeful that Jackson will be able to return by Week 4, but there is no question that C.J. Spiller will see a large workload in his absence. Buffalo has Tashard Choice as his backup.
