Bills Expected To Sign RB Reggie Bush If He Passes A Physical Monday

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that free agent RB Reggie Bush is expected to visit with the Bills and sign with the team if he passes a physical Monday.

Yesterday, Jason Cole of B/R reported that Bush would play for the Bills if he decided to play in 2016.

Previous reports have said that the Bills view Bush as a potential option at punt returner and as a “replacement/clone” for LeSean McCoy, if he needs a break or is injured.

Buffalo has clearly been the team to watch for Bush for several weeks now, so it would be surprising to see him end up with another team, especially now that he’s taking a physical for them.

Bush, 31, is a former first-round pick of the Saints back in 2006. He spent five years in New Orleans before being traded to the Dolphins in 2011. After two years with the Lions, Bush signed a one-year contract with the 49ers before his 2015 season came to an early end.

Bush sustained a torn MCL that he suffered after slipping on the exposed concrete at the Rams’ stadium in St. Louis.

In 2015, Bush appeared in five games and ran for 28 yards on eight carries (3.5 YPC) to go along with four receptions for 19 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

We have him featured in our Best Available Free Agents list.
