Bills G Kraig Urbik Accepts Pay Cut To Be Back In Buffalo

ESPN’s Mike Rodak reports that the Bills have restructured the contract of guard Kraig Urbik in recent days.

  • According to Rodak, Urbik’s 2015 base salary has been reduced from $2.9 million to $1.2 million.
  • Urbik would have received a $300,000 roster bonus on fifth day of the 2015 league year and counted $3.75 million against the team’s salary cap.

The Bills are in the process of putting together an offer sheet for TE Charles Clay, so they could really use some additional room in order to make him the best possible offer.

Urbik, 29, signed a five-year, $14.6 million contract with the Bills back in 2012. He had another two years remaining on this agreement to go along with cap figures of $3.75 million and $4.075 million.

In 2014,  he appeared in 15 games for Buffalo and placed a total of 636 snaps. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the N0. 53 guard out of 78 qualifying players.
