Free Agent LB Gerald Hodges Visiting With Bills & Giants

Adam Schefter reports that free agent LB Gerald Hodges is visiting with the Bills on Monday.

  • Pro Football Talk reports that Hodges is also scheduled to meet with the Giants on Tuesday.

Hodges’ market is really starting to pick up, as he recently met with the Colts, Patriots and Jaguars last week.

Before that, Hodges visited with the Jets, Seahawks, and Chiefs but did not receive an offer from these teams.

Hodges, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Vikings back in 2013. Minnesota elected to trade Hodges to the 49ers in return for a sixth-round pick and C Nick Easton back in 2015.

Hodges played out the final year of his four-year, $2.58 million rookie contract and is now testing the open market for the first time in his career.

In 2016, Hodges appeared in 15 games for the 49ers and recorded 83 tackles, three sacks, two interceptions, a forced fumble, a recovery and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 21 linebacker out of 87 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
