Bills Looking To A “Big Time Outside Receiver?”

Bills GM Buddy Nix discussed some of the areas on their roster where he would like to find some impact talent. One of these positions just happens to be an outside receiver to opposite of Stevie Johnson.

“I think Stevie’s a guy that you can play him in the slot or you can play him outside. But we need a big-time outside receiver,” said Nix, via the Buffalo News. “T.J. gives us a lot of that, but you still need to get another, bigger guy that can line up out there and catch the ball when he’s covered.

Last year, the Bills committed $36.25 million to Johnson over the course of  five years, but they should have at least $10 million to work with next season. The hard part will be keeping their interior o-line in place, while accomplishing their goal of adding a young quarterback and a solid outside receiver.

Both guards Andy Levitre and Kraig Urbik show up in our Top 50 Free Agents list, so there figures to be a lot of interest in either player should they become available.
