Bills Not Expected To Trade RB LeSean McCoy Before Deadline

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, citing a source with knowledge of the situation, reports that it would be surprising if the Bills traded RB LeSean McCoy before Tuesday’s deadline and “all quiet on that front” right now.

The Eagles reportedly reached out to the Bills about a potential deal for McCoy, but the Bills are said to have a high asking price for Mccoy, which is why there hasn’t been any buzz about a trade with the Eagles involving him since then.

Adam Schefter confirms that McCoy is unlikely to be traded and adds that Buffalo has spoken to at least three teams, but nobody has been willing to offer what it would take to get a deal done for McCoy.

McCoy, 30, is a former second-round pick of the Eagles back in 2009. After six years in Philadelphia, McCoy was traded to the Bills, who later signed him to a five-year, $40 million contract that included $20 million guaranteed.

McCoy stands to make base salaries of $6 million and $6.075 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2018, McCoy has appeared in six games and rushed for 244 yards on 63 carries (3.9 YPC) to go along with 13 receptions for 85 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
