Bills OT Cordy Glenn Officially Signs Franchise Tender

Bills OT Cordy Glenn has officially signed his franchise tender on Friday, according to his agency Sports Trust Advisors.

The franchise tag will run the Bills $13.7 million fully guaranteed for the 2016 season, but won’t prevent them from negotiating a long-term deal that would reduce this figure and offer them some additional cap space.

Retaining Glenn forced the Bills to part ways with veteran DE Mario Williams earlier in the week.

Glenn, 26, played out his four-year, $4,865,180 rookie contract and was in line to be one of the most sought after free agents in this year’s free agent market before the Bills used the designation on him.

In 2015, Glenn appeared in all 16 games for the Bills and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 9 offensive tackle out of 76 qualifying players.
