Bills Place DT Corbin Bryan & WR Walt Powell On I.R. & Promote Two

The Buffalo Bills announced Tuesday that they’ve placed Corbin Bryant and Walt Powell on injured reserve and promoted WR Dez Lewis and DT DeAndre Coleman to their active roster.

Bryant, 28, originally signed on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Northwestern back in 2011. After a year and a half in Pittsburgh, Bryant signed on to the Bills’ practice squad and has spent the past three years with the team.

Bryant signed a one-year, $1.67 million contract with the Bills this past April, so he’ll be an unrestricted free agent next year.

In 2016, Bryant has appeared in eight games for the Bills and recorded 11 tackles and no sacks.

Powell, 24, is a former sixth-round pick of the Cardinals back in May of last year. He was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster during his rookie season but he wound up being claimed off of waivers by the Jets.

After brief stints with the Jets and Raiders, Powell returned to the Bills at the end of last season.

In 2016, Powell appeared in nine games and caught 14 passes for 142 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
