Bills Place OLB IK Enemkpali On Injured Reserve After Clearing Waivers

The Buffalo Bills officially placed OLB IK Enemkpali on injured reserve Tuesday after he passed through waivers unclaimed.

Enemkpali tore his ACL and that he will miss the 2016 season and was waived with an injury designation Monday to make room for OLB Kroy Biermann

Enemkpali, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Jets back in 2014. He was waived last summer after he was involved in an altercation with QB Geno Smith that led to Enemkpali punching the quarterback and breaking his jaw.

The Bills later elected to claim Enemkpali off of waivers.

Enemkpali is in the second-year of his three-year, $2,298,680 contract that includes a $600,000 base salary for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Enemkpali appeared in 11 games and recorded 13 tackles and no sacks for the Bills.
