Bills Place WR Percy Harvin On Season-Ending I.R.

The Buffalo Bills announced Saturday that they’ve placed WR Percy Harvin on season-ending injured reserve with a knee injury.

  • The Bills also activated CB Leodis McKelvin.

Yesterday, Bills GM Doug Whaley told Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News that was a possibility.

Harvin has been away from the team with injury and personal issues, according to reports over the past few weeks. There has even been talk that Harvin could consider retiring from the NFL, due to the continued hip issues he’s dealt with during his career.

Harvin, 27, signed a one-year, $6 million contract with the Bills back in March after the Jets cut him loose. He’ll be an unrestrictred free agent again next year.

This season, Harvin has appeared in five games and caught 19 passes for 218 yards receiving to go along with five carries and 31 yards rushing (6.2 YPC) and one total touchdown.
