Bills Place WR Zay Jones On NFI List, Release DT Tenny Palepoi

The Buffalo Bills announced Wednesday that they’ve placed WR Zay Jones on the active/non-football injury list and released DT Tenny Palepoi.

Jones previously underwent surgery on his knee, which forced him to miss the remainder of spring workouts.

It was an eventful offseason for Jones, who was previously involved in a strange incident in which he was naked and arguing with his brother, Cayleb, who was trying to stop him from jumping out of a 30th-floor window.

Jones eventually broke free and kicked through a window and then attempted to climb through the hole, which left him bleeding all over the place. He was restrained by his brother until police eventually arrested him for felony vandalism.

Jones, 22, is a former second-round pick of the Bills back in 2017. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $6.77 million contract that includes $4.3 million guaranteed and set to make base salaries of $773,173 and $1.03 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Jones appeared in 15 games for the Bills and caught 27 passes for 316 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
