Bills Prepared To Add Another QB In The Draft?

Tim Graham of Buffalo News writes that the Bills “almost certainly” will take a quarterback in either the first or second-round of this year’s NFL draft.

Somebody’s got to go if that’s the case,” said Tarvaris Jackson in response to the idea of adding another quarterback in the draft.

Buffalo made somewhat of a surprising move on Friday when they re-signed Jackson to a one-year deal that could max out at $4.5 million. The team plans to give Jackson a shot at competing with Ryan Fitzpatrick for the team’s starting quarterback job, but that competition could expand by the time training camp rolls around.

Fitzpatrick has struggled to live up to his seven-year, $62.195 million, so it makes sense that the Bills would keep their options open at this point in time. Buffalo brought in free-agent Aaron Corp earlier in the week as well.

Syracuse quarterback Ryan Nassib has been mentioned as a speculative option for the Bills since they hired Doug Marrone, former Syracuse head coach, following the season. Other speculative targets could include Geno Smith, Matt Barkley, Tyler Wilson or Mike Glennon.

We have the Bills going with the obviously selection in Ryan Nassib in the second-round of 2013 NFL Mock Draft.
