Bills Promote TE Gerald Christian, Waive K Jordan Gay

The Buffalo Bills announced Saturday that they’ve promoted TE Gerald Christian to their active roster and waived K Jordan Gay.

Christian, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Cardinals from last year’s draft. He lasted just over a year in Arizona before he cut loose coming out of the preseason.

The Bills signed him to their practice squad to open the year and has been on and off of their active roster this year.

In 2016, Christian has been active for two games but has yet to record a statistic.

Gay, 26, originally signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Centre back in 2013. Gay later had a brief stint with the Giants before returning to Carolina following the 2014 NFL draft.

The Bills eventually claimed Gay off of waivers. However, he was, unfortunately, cut loose coming out of the preseason before signing to the Bills’ practice squad. Since then, Gay has been on and off of the Bills’ active roster.

This year, Gay has appeared in three gamess and has seven touchbacks and no field goal attempts.
