Bills QB E.J. Manuel Underwent A Minor Knee Procedure After The Season

Bills QB E.J. Manuel mentioned during a SiriusXM NFL Radio interview Thursday that he underwent a “minor procedure” on his knee following the season.

“The knee injury feels a lot better now,” Manuel said, via BuffaloBills.com. “I’ve got everything resolved and behind me. It was a minor procedure. I’m glad I got it done and kind of put it past me. With the rehab and things like that I’ll be back to full strength and I don’t think it’ll bother me.

Manuel added that he intends to wear a knee brace next season.

“I’ll probably have to wear a brace from here on out,” he said. “Around the league guys wear one. (Andrew) Luck wears one, Peyton (Manning) wears one on that front leg. When you have some defenders come down on you, you don’t want to have to risk getting whatever type of knee injury. I’ll have a brace, but it won’t inhibit me still being able to take off and run.”

Manuel, 23, finished his rookie season with 1,972 yards passing and 11 touchdowns to go along with nine interceptions for the Bills over the course of 10 games.
