Bills QB Josh Allen To Return For Week 12

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Bills rookie QB Josh Allen is expected to be ready to return for the Bills’ Week 12 matchup against the Jaguars.

A source tells Schefter that Allen has been pushing to play and felt as if he were ready to go today’s game against the Jets, but the Bills opted to hold him out.

Allen has been sidelined with an ulnar collateral ligament issue in his right elbow.

The Bills will start Matt Barkley against the Jets with Nathan Peterman serving as his backup.

Allen, 22, was taken with the No. 7 overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft by the Bills. Allen agreed to a four-year, $21,265,508 contract with the Bills that includes a $13,545,824 signing bonus.

The contract includes a fifth-year option for the Bills to pick up in 2021.

In 2018, Allen has appeared in six games for the Bills and completed 54 percent of his passes for 832 to go along with two touchdowns and five interceptions. He has also rushed for 155 yards and three touchdowns.
