Bills QB Nathan Peterman In Concussion Protocol

Bills HC Sean McDermott told reporters after Sunday’s game that rookie QB Nathan Peterman is in the concussion protocol, per WGR 550.

Peterman was taken to the locker room after he took a hit to his head in the third quarter and was replaced by Joe Webb.

This is obviously a concerning situation for Buffalo, considering that Tyrod Taylor has been dealing with a knee injury.

Depending on how Peterman and Taylor progress in the coming days, it’s possible the Bills may need to add a quarterback for Week 15.

Peterman, 23, was taken in the fifth-round of this year’s draft by the Bills. He signed a four-year, $2.63 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the agreement.

Entering today’s game, Peterman had appeared in three games for the Bills and thrown for 195 yards while completing 48.7 percent of his passes to go along with one touchdown and five interceptions.

We’ll have more regarding Peterman as the news is available.
