Update:

Bills HC Sean McDermott told reporters on Monday that QB Tyrod Taylor is day-to-day with a patella tendon contusion. The good news, however, is that Taylor’s ligaments are fine, per Joe Buscaglia.

Bills QB Tyrod Taylor was carted off during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the Patriots. The Bills have already announced that he’s out for the game with a knee injury.

Taylor has been replaced by rookie QB Nathan Peterman.

Earlier in the game, Taylor took a hit to his knee, but managed to play through it until the fourth quarter.

Taylor, 28, is a former sixth-round pick of the Ravens back in 2011. After four years in Baltimore, Taylor signed on with the Bills for the 2015 season.

Taylor is currently in the first year of his two-year, $30.5 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $7.5 million and $10 million.

In 2017, Taylor has appeared in 11 games and thrown for 2,025 yards while completing 64 percent of his passes to go along with 12 touchdowns and three interceptions. He has also rushed for 302 yards and three touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 11 quarterback out of 38 qualifying players.
