Bills QB Tyrod Taylor Will Be Game-Time Decision In Week 14

On Friday, Bills HC Sean McDermott told reporters that QB Tyrod Taylor will be limited Friday and his availability for Week 14 will end up being a game-time decision, per Mike Rodak.

According to McDermott, it’s a possibility that Taylor could be active but serve as the team’s backup quarterback.

Taylor is reportedly dealing with a patella tendon contusion. The good news, however, is that Taylor’s ligaments are fine.

Taylor, 28, is a former sixth-round pick of the Ravens back in 2011. After four years in Baltimore, Taylor signed on with the Bills for the 2015 season.

Taylor is currently in the first year of his two-year, $30.5 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $7.5 million and $10 million.

In 2017, Taylor has appeared in 11 games and thrown for 2,025 yards while completing 64 percent of his passes to go along with 12 touchdowns and three interceptions. He has also rushed for 302 yards and three touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 11 quarterback out of 38 qualifying players.
