Bills RB Anthony Dixon said goodbye to the Bills’ organization and fans on Twitter Tuesday, implying he’s been released.
Dixon, 28, was entering the final year of his three-year, $3.5 million contract that included $750,000 guaranteed. He was set to make a base salary of $1 million for the 2016 season.
According to OverTheCap.com, releasing will free up $1.15 million in available cap space while creating $166,668 in dead money.
In 2015, Dixon appeared in all 16 games for the Bills and ran for 44 yards on 21 carries (2.8 YPC) to go along with six receptions for 44 yards receiving and a single touchdown.
