Bills Release TE Jim Dray, Promote TE Gerald Christian

The Buffalo Bills announced that they’ve released TE Jim Dray and promote TE Gerald Christian to their active roster on Tuesday.

Dray, 29, is a former seventh-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2010. He played out his rookie contract with the team before signing a three-year deal with the Browns in 2014.

The Browns cut Dray loose several months ago but he later signed a one-year, $760,000 contract with the Bills.

In 2016, Dray has appeared in four games but has yet to catch a single pass.

Christian, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Cardinals back in May of last year. He managed to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season before he was unfortunately among Arizona’s early roster cuts this past August.

The Bills later signed him to their practice squad at the start of the season.

Christian has yet to appear in an NFL game.
