Bills Release TE Tony Moeaki From IR With Settlement

The Buffalo Bills announced Monday that they have released veteran TE Tony Moeaki from injured reserve with an injury settlement.

Moeaki, 26, was signed to a two-year contract worth $2 million contract with Buffalo last December. He was set to make $1 million for the 2014 season.

Last year, Moeaki suffered a fractured his scapula during the preseason and was subsequently placed on injured reserve. The Chiefs granted Moeaki his release once he was healthy enough to play.

Moeaki was taken in the third-round of the 2010 NFL draft. Since then, he’s dealt with a number of injuries including knee operations and head injuries, which limited him to appearing in just one game during the 2013 season.
