Bills Release Veteran OL Chris Williams

The Buffalo Bills released veteran OL Chris Williams on Tuesday, according to the NFL Transactions release.

This is the second veteran offensive lineman to be released in the week or so after the team cut Wayne Hunter.

Williams, 29, still had three years remaining on his four-year, $13.15 million contract that included $5.5 million guaranteed. He would have made base salaries of $1.875 million (2015), $2.45 million (2016), and $2.5 million (2017).

In 2014, Williams was limited to appearing in just three games for the Bills.

  1. Bad backs are tough to heal. Must be healthy enough to play, if not, it’s smart move and frees up some cap space to sign else Marcel Dareus, hopefully. LET’S GO BUFFALO!!!
