Bills RFA G Ryan Groy Drawing Interest From “At Least” Four Teams

Adam Caplan of ESPN is reporting that Bills restricted free agent G Ryan Groy is drawing interest from “at least” four teams right and some of them believe he could start for them.

The Bills used an original-round tender on him that will cost them $1.797 million for the 2017 season and give them the right of first refusal for any offer sheet he receives from another team during free agency.

Groy, 26, originally signed on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin back in 2014. The Bears later traded Groy to the Patriots for Matt Wells, but he didn’t  last long in New England.

Groy played briefly for the Buccaneers before the Bills signed him to their roster during the 2015 season.

In 2016, Groy was active for all 16 games and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 23 center out of 38 qualifying players.
