The Buffalo Bills announced Friday that they’ve signed players to contracts including DE Jake Metz, CB Marcus Cromartie, OT Cameron Jefferson, CB Bradley Sylve, LB Junior Sylvester, LB Eddie Yarbrough, LB Jacob Lindsey and OL Jordan Mudge.
It’s strange to see a team sign so many players at one time, given where we are in the NFL calendar, but it appears as though Buffalo wanted to take a look at this group of players in the coming weeks.
Cromartie, 26, originally signed on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin back in 2013. He lasted just over one season with the Chargers before signing on to the 49ers’ practice squad during the 2014 season.
San Francisco declined to tender him a restricted free agent offer last week, making him an unrestricted free agent.
In 2016, Cromartie appeared in 10 games and recorded five tackles and no interceptions for the 49ers.
