The Buffalo Bills announced Tuesday that they have signed LB Larry Dean to a contract and placed S Jonathan Meeks on season-ending injured reserve.
Dean, 26, signed on with Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Valdosta State back in 2011. He later signed a two-year, $2 million contract with the Vikings this past March, but he was unable to make the final 53-man roster coming out of training camp.
In 2013, Dean recorded 12 tackles, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery over the course of 16 games with the Vikings.
Meeks, 24, had been dealing with a neck injury in recent months. He’s entering his second year in the NFL after the Bills used a fifth-round pick on him last year. In 2013, Meeks appeared in eight games and recorded two tackles.
