Bills Sign P Brian Moorman To A Contract Extension

The Buffalo Bills announced on Friday that they have reached an agreement with P Brian Moorman.

Moorman, 38, was in the final year of his current contract, but did not want to leave Buffalo.

“No, I didn’t want to and that was something we talked about at the end of the season,” Moorman said. “Just being able to continue my career here and eventually finish my career here that’s been my goal all along to finish a Buffalo Bill and I’m thrilled to be here.

Pro Football Focus has Moorman rated as the No. 37 qualifying punter in the league this season. Moorman was in the bottom half of the league with a 36.6 net yard average and just 15 punts inside the 20-yard-line, so we’ll have to see if he’s capable of producing better numbers in 2014.

There is still a chance that Buffalo could bring in more competition during the offseason.
