Bills Sign RB Travaris Cadet, Place RB Taiwan Jones On IR

The Buffalo Bills announced Saturday that they’ve signed RB Travaris Cadet to a contract and placed RB Taiwan Jones on injured reserve.

Cadet, 28, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Appalachian State back in 2012. He spent three years in New Orleans before he was allowed to test the open market in 2015.

The Patriots elected to sign Cadet to a two-year contract worth $1.75 million. Unfortunately, they cut him loose during the season. The 49ers later signed him to a contract after they lost Carlos Hyde for the season, but was waived towards the end of the year and later claimed off of waivers by the Saints.

Cadet returned to New Orleans on one-year deals each of the past two seasons but was cut loose coming out of the preseason. The Jets later signed Cadet to a contract a few weeks into the regular season.

New York released Cadet a few weeks ago.

In 2017, Cadet has appeared in three games and rushed for three yards on one carry to go along with three receptions for 26 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
