Bills Sign Rookies CB Ross Cockrell, LB Randell Johnson & OT Seantrel Henderson

The Buffalo Bills announced the signings of draft picks CB Ross Cockrell, LB Randell Johnson and OT Seantrel Henderson on Thursday.

These are the first rookies that the Bills have gotten under contract since the draft concluded last Saturday.

Cockrell is a two-time first-team All-ACC selection. He 233 tackles, two sacks, 12 interceptions, two forced fumbles and scored two defensive touchdowns for the Duke Blue Devils over the course of his college career.

Johnson totaled 195 tackles, 30.5 tackles for a loss, 9.5 sacks and four forced fumbles for the Florida Atlantic defense over the course of his four years. He did, however, deal with a number of injuries during his college career, so there are question marks about his ability to stay healthy at the next level.

Henderson will be in intriguing player to watch during training camp as he was a five-star recruit coming out of high school, but there are plenty of red flags regarding him. Buffalo only used a seventh-round pick on him, so it wouldn’t be a big deal if they chose to part ways after training camp.
