Bills Sign S Aaron Williams To A Contract Extension

The Buffalo Bills announced that they have signed S Aaron Williams to a long-term contract extension on Wednesday.

  • Mike Garafolo reports that Williams receives a four-year extension worth $26 million that includes another $1.25 million in incentives.
  • Pro Football Talk reports that Williams receives $14.625 million guaranteed.
    • PFT adds that Williams’ contract also includes a $4.5M option.
  • Brian McIntyre mentions that this contract will place Williams between Morgan Burnett ($6.2M) and the contracts of Kam Chancellor and Reshad Jones ($7M).

Williams, 23, was entering the final year of his rookie contract and would have made $1,092,156 for the 2014 season. Last year, Williams put together his best season in the NFL and totaled 82 tackles, four interceptions and a forced fumble for the Bills.

Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 28 safety in the league last season.
