Bills Sign TE Dominique Jones, Cut OL Mark Asper

The Buffalo Bills signed tight end Dominique Jones to a contract Saturday and released offensive lineman Mark Asper, per Aaron Wilson.

Jones, 26, signed on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Shepherd University back in 2011. Indianapolis has signed and waived Jones numerous times over the course of his brief NFL career.

He appeared in eight games last year while playing for the Colts and Chiefs. Jones caught two passes for 34 yards receiving.

It’s worth mentioning that TEs Tony Moeaki and Chris Gragg are both dealing with injuries, so Jones will at least give them some depth for the time being.

Asper, 28, is a former sixth-round pick of the Bills who had appeared in seven games over the course of two years in the NFL. He was set to make $570,000 for the upcoming season.
