Bills Sign Veteran TE Matthew Mulligan, Waive DB Merrill Noel

The Buffalo Bills announced the signing of veteran TE Matthew Mulligan to a contract on Thursday.

  • The Bills placed DB Merrill Noel on waivers to make room for Mulligan.

Mulligan, 30, originally signed on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Maine back in 2008. Since then, he’s played for several teams including the Titans, Jets, Rams, Packers, Patriots, Bears, and Cardinals.

The Titans signed him to a contract towards the end of the 2014 season, but this is the first reported interest in him since he became an unrestricted free agent back in March.

Last year, Mulligan appeared in four games, but didn’t record a single statistic.
