Andre Holmes Denies He’s Signed With Bills, NFLPA Made Filing Error

Update:

Mike Garafolo explains that NFL agents have to send all of their offers from NFL teams to the NFLPA and this one was accidently confused as a done deal.

According to Garafolo, there are other teams still in play for WR Andre Holmes, who should be able to do better than this offer from the Bills.

Free agent WR Andre Holmes denies that he’s signed a three-year, $4.5 million contract with the Bills, despite it being filed to the NFLPA, per Mike Rodak.

Dan Graziano of ESPN reports that the Bills have signed WR Andre Holmes to a three-year, $4.5 million that includes $2.425 million guaranteed.

Holmes reported drew interest from several teams including the 49ers, Redskins, Lions, Jets, Bears, and Raiders before he elected to join the Bills.

Holmes, 28, originally signed on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Hillsdale back in 2011. He lasted just a month in Minnesota before catching on with the Cowboys at the start of the season when he signed to their practice squad.

After a brief stint with the Patriots, Holmes was claimed off waivers by the Raiders and has spent the past four years in Oakland.

In 2016, Holmes appeared in all 16 games for the Raiders and caught 14 passes for 126 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 292 total snaps for the Raiders last season.
