Bills Sign WR Deonte Thompson Off Ravens’ Practice Squad

Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Buffalo Bills have signed WR Deonte Thompson off of the Ravens’ practice squad on Monday.

Bills receivers WR Mike Williams (calf), WR Sammy Watkins (hip), WR Robert Woods (ankle) have been dealing with injuries in recent weeks, so this is likely a depth move for Buffalo.

Thompson, 25, signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Florida back in 2012. He has appeared in 13 games over the last two years.

Thompson was able to make the Ravens 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later waived and eventually signed to the team’s practice squad a few days later.

Last year, Thompson appeared in seven games and caught 10 passes for 96 yards while also contributing as a kick returner.
