Bills Sign WR Greg Salas, Waive WR/KR Marcus Thigpen

The Buffalo Bills announced a number of roster moves on Tuesday including the signing of WR Greg Salas and the release of WR/KR Marcus Thigpen.

Salas, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Rams back in back in 2011. He lasted just a little over a year before he was traded to the Patriots in return for a seventh-round pick.

Since then, Salas has played for the Eagles and Jets before the Lions brought him in on a one-year contract back in May. Detroit wound up placing him on season-ending injured reserve with a knee injury and later releasing him with a settlement a few weeks into the season.

In 2014, Salas appeared in 10 games and caught eight passes for 167 yards and ran for 20 yards and a touchdown on one carry.

Thigpen, 29, originally signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Indiana back in 2009. Since then, Thigpen has played for a number of teams including the Broncos, Dolphins, Patriots, Buccaneers, Bills and Colts.

The Raiders signed Thigpen to a contract earlier in November, but released him shortly afterwards.

This season, Thigpen has appeared in nine  games and totaled 330 kick return yards and 119 punt return yards for the Bills.
