The Buffalo Bills announced Monday that they’ve signed WR Jeremy Kerley and DT Tenny Palepoi to one-year contracts.
Kerley, 29, is a former fifth-round pick of the Jets back in 2011. He spent five years in New York before he was released back in March of last year and later signed to a one-year contract worth over $1 million by the Lions.
Detroit elected to trade Kerley to the 49ers in exchange for OL Brandon Thomas coming out of the preseason in 2016.
The 49ers signed Kerley to a three-year, $10.5 million deal that included a $1.7 million signing bonus last year only to cut him loose coming out of the preseason. Kerley signed on with the Jets soon after.
Kerley had just finished serving his four-game suspension for violating the NFL policy on performance-enhancing substances when the Jets cut him loose towards the end of the season.
In 2017, Kerley appeared in eight games and caught 22 passes for 217 yards receiving and one touchdown.
Palepoi, 27, signed on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Utah back in 2014. He played out the final year of a three-year, $1.543 million rookie contract before the Chargers re-signed him last year.
Palepoi, unfortunately, missed the entire 2015 season after sustaining a broken foot during the preseason. He was suspended four games back in 2016 for a PED violation.
In 2017, Palepoi appeared in 15 games for the Chargers and recorded 24 tackles and a sack.
