Bills Signing CB Breon Borders Off Raiders’ Practice Squad

Vic Tafur of the Athletic reports that the Bills are signing CB Breon Borders off of the Raiders’ practice squad.

This move won’t be official until Saturday afternoon.

Borders, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Duke back in May. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Raiders cut him loose coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad.

During his four-year college career at Duke, Borders recorded 149 tackles, eight tackles for a loss, one sack, 12 interceptions, a forced fumble, two recoveries and 34 pass defenses over the course of 44 games.
