Bills Signing DE Ryan Russell To One-Year Deal

Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Bills have agreed to terms with DE Ryan Russell on a one-year contract.

Buffalo hosted Russell for a visit on Saturday and it appears as though everything went well enough for them to extend him an offer.

Russell, 26, is a former fifth-round pick by the Cowboys of the 2015 NFL Draft. He was entering the second year of a four-year, $2,482,988 rookie deal before he was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

The Cowboys later signed Russell to their practice squad only to cut him loose a few days later. The Buccaneers signed him to their practice squad and eventually promoted him to the active roster.

Unfortunately, Tampa Bay declined to tender Russell a contract this offseason, making him an unrestricted free agent.

In 2017, Russell appeared in 14 games for the Buccaneers and recorded 17 total tackles and two sacks.
