Bills Waive/Injured RB Aaron Green, Sign FB Zach Olstad

The Buffalo Bills announced Monday that they’ve signed FB Zach Olstad and waived RB Aaron Green with an injury destination.

Should Green pass through waivers unclaimed on Tuesday, he would revert to the Bills’ injured reserve list.

Green, 25, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of TCU back in 2016. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Rams cut him loose coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad.

Unfortunately, the Rams once again waived Green at the start of the regular season last year. After a brief stint with the Cowboys, Green signed on to the Bills’ practice squad and returned to Buffalo on a futures contract this past January.

In 2016, Green was active for two games but did not record a statistic.

During his college career, Green rushed for 2,531 yards on 469 carries (5.4 YPC) to go along with 40 receptions for 332 yards receiving and 27 total touchdowns.
