Bills Waive OL Chris Martin From Practice Squad, Sign OT William Poehls

The Buffalo Bills announced Monday that they’ve waived OL Chris Martin from their practice squad and signed OT William Poehls to the unit.

The Bills’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. WR Dezmin Lewis
  2. DB Marcus Roberson
  3. LB Carlos Fields
  4. TE Gerald Christian
  5. DT Deandre Coleman
  6. OT Chris Martin
  7. WR Matt Hazel
  8. LB Max Valles
  9. DB Damian Parms
  10. LB Bryson Albright

Martin, 26, originally signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of UCF back in May of last year. Unfortunately, Martin lasted just a few weeks in Houston before he was cut loose.

Since then, Martin has played for a number of teams including the Patriots, Texans, 49ers, Dolphins, and Bills before signing on to the Dolphins’ practice squad midseason.

Miami cut Martin loose just a few days later and didn’t bring him back on a future/reserve contract after the season. The Bills signed him to their practice squad last week.

Martin has yet to appear in an NFL game.
