Bills Waive RB Bryce Brown, Activate DL Marcell Dareus From Suspended List

The Buffalo Bills announced Tuesday that they’ve placed RB Bryce Brown on waivers.

  • The Bills also activated DL Marcell Dareus from the reserve/suspended list.

There were reports from a few weeks ago that Buffalo was trying to trade Brown before roster cuts, but there apparently wasn’t anyone willing to part with even a late-round pick for thim.

Brown, 24, is in the final year of his four-year, $2.15 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $660,000 for the 2015 season.

Brown came over from the Eagles in a trade that sent a 2014 seventh round pick that ultimately became OT Seantrel Henderson to Philadelphia.

In 2014, Brown appeared in seven games and ran for 126 yards on 36 carries (3.5 YPC) to go along with 16 receptions for 176 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
