Bills Waive WR Kaelin Clay, Claim CB Tony McRae

The Buffalo Bills announced that they’ve placed WR Kaelin Clay on waivers Monday and claimed CB Tony McRae off of waivers from the Ravens.

Clay, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2015. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later signed to the Bucs’ practice squad. After a brief stint with the Lions, the Ravens signed him to their active roster and brought him back on an exclusive rights contract last year.

The Ravens waived Clay in August of last year with an injury designation and later cut him loose from injured reserve. Carolina signed him to a contract back in April but later traded him a 2019 seventh-round pick to the Bills in exchange for CB Kevon Seymour.

In 2017, Clay has appeared in four games for the Bills and caught one pass for 28 yards receiving.
