Bills Worked Out 12 Players Including G John Greco

According to Howard Balzer, the Bills officially brought in 12 free agents for tryouts on Tuesday.

The full list includes:

  1. WR Chris Brown
  2. WR Marlon Brown
  3. WR Malachi Dupre (Signed)
  4. WR Stephen Hill
  5. WR James Wright
  6. CB Makinton Dorleant
  7. CB B.W. Webb
  8. G John Greco
  9. G Tim Lelito
  10. G Oni Omoile
  11. OT Brad Seaton
  12. QB Joel Stave

Greco, 32, is a former third-round pick of the Rams back in 2008. After three years with the Rams, Greco signed on with the Browns and has spent the past six years in Cleveland.

He was entering the final year of a five-year, $13.2 million contract and was set to make a base salary of $975,000 this season.

In 2016, Greco appeared in 12 games for the Browns before being placed on the season-ending injured reserve.

Stave, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin back in May. He was, unfortunately, waived coming out of the preseason before later signing on to the Vikings’ practice squad.

The Vikings cut Stave loose back in November and he later signed on to the Seahawks’ practice squad after clearing waivers. Stave didn’t last long with the Seahawks but was eventually signed to the Chiefs’ practice squad where he finished out the season.

The Chiefs signed him to a future/reserve deal back in January, but waived him as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit.

During his four-year college career, Stave threw for 7,635 yards while completing 59.5 percent of his passes to go along with 48 touchdowns and 37 interceptions.
