Bills Worked Out Kickers Billy Cundiff & Alex Henery

Update:

Howard Balzer reports that the Bills also worked out free agent K Alex Henery on Monday.

The Steelers recently brought Henery in for a workout, but they elected to sign Garrett Hartley instead.

Henry, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Eagles back in 2011. He lasted three years in Philadelphia before he was waived at the start of the 2014 season. However, the Lions later gave him a shot, but he was once again cut loose a few weeks later.

In 2014, Henery was just one for five in field goal attempts and didn’t miss an extra point attempt.

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that the Bills brought in veteran K Billy Cundiff for a workout on Monday.

This news comes less than a week after Bills HC Rex Ryan expressed frustration with their kicker situation.

Cundiff, 35, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Drake back in 2005. Since then Cundiff has played for several teams including the Buccaneers, Packers, Saints, Falcons, Chiefs, Lions, Ravens, Redskins, 49ers, Jets and most recently for the Browns.

In 2014, Cundiff converted 22 of 29 field goal attempts this season, but was just one of three from 50 yards or more.
